I’ve had a problem for a few weeks now where my DSL will randomly kick me off at different times, like 3-5 times per day. Durations also vary, but it’s usually 5 to 30 minutes… sometimes longer. Even when it works, like now, if I load a new page or even one I’ve already been to I’ll sometimes get "Address Not Found", but if I refresh it’ll go right through. Anyway, the cable company came by and said it’s nothing from them, but they gave me a new modem to be sure. I thought my wireless router was the problem but I’ve been wired for days and nothing’s changed. Haven’t installed any new software. I reviewed my connection settings and they’re all normal. When internet’s down and I run Windows Diagnostic on my connection it says it can’t communicate with the DNS servers. Is something from my computer blocking it (filter, firewall, etc.), something else entirely, or should I call back my ISP? Any solutions or tricks? It’s getting annoying. I run Vista btw. Please and thanks!
You would benefit greatly by chatting on line with tech support. If you are using AT&T Yahoo! DSL high speed internet services and getting your monthly bill each month in your telephone bill as most people I think do, you can contact them using chat method. If you are getting U-Verse services then the issue may be directed to their U-Verse support team.

I have an MSI notebook and for some reason software on my netbook cant access the internet to update. Also I can’t use Windows Live Messenger that wont sign in. I have put software into the firewall exceptions list and i can’t find a solution on the net. I am the administrator and have 3 users on my computer including myself. I am also using wireless connection.

ok so, I left my laptop at my mums while i went on holiday, it was perfectly fine when i left it, when i returned home my mum told me i have a virus, i thought ok no problem i’ll just run my anti-virus software to remove it (i use CCleaner, spybot & adware) all 3 softwares didn’t pick up the virus.
The virus: its a fake security virus, fake security alerts and scans keep running and popping up and says i need to pay for a anti-virus thing to get it removed.
I’ve searched on google on this laptop (my mums) for ways to remove it, i found one, with good reviews but software from the intenet is needed to be downloaded, i would download it but i have a problem.. the internet browser is not working, MSN and everything else is working fine but not the internet browser, i’ve tried turning off the firewall but still no luck.
p.s. if your woundering how i’m on the internet now, i’m using my mums laptop.
Help needed ASAP.

Many people think any norton product is bloated and slow. That was right… a couple years ago.
WAKE UP!
We are in 2008!
Norton has improved greatly: on my vista computer (you read that right, vista), it is never slow, and not once have I noticed any bugs and slowdowns. (I don’t have a supercomputer, just a typical $600 store PC)
